ARE YOU INTERESTED IN RADIO-CONTROLLED MODELS?
If you live in the Valley area, Valley R/C is the Model Club to join. Valley R/C Model Club, Inc. was formed in 1965 to foster, expand, and perpetuate the practice of safe R/C modeling and the spirit of good fellowship among all modelers. VRCMC is an Academy of Model Aeronautics chartered radio control club. Our primary interest is flying model airplanes and helicopters.Some members also enjoy R/C cars and boats. Our membership is comprised of people of all ages and professions.
A bulletin board of Club activities is posted at our flying site in Round Top Park south of Athens, PA.
Contrary to much advertising, flying R/C aircraft is not a ‘buy today – fly tomorrow’ hobby. We can help you get a good start on a fun filled sport. Members will share knowledge and help you in the selection, assembly and flying of your first model.
Guests are always welcome at our bi-monthly meetings and at our flying field in Round Top Park,Sayre,Pa..
VRCMC has obtained permission to use the Valley Soccer field on Wilawana Rd. as its outdoor winter flying site….usually @ 1 p.m. on Sunday’s… if there are
construction or housing trailers parked close to the field there will be no flying

on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday in October 2011 thru March 2012.
Flying time is 7pm to 9pm. The school is located off from Pennsylvania Ave across from the Athens High School Football Stadium. AMA is required and all common sense safety rules apply. Make sure no LiPo charging is done on the wooden floor or other flammable objects.110V is available for chargers and glue guns. Cost is $5 per session or $15 for the season. Just like your local hobby shop – payments of $5 each are accepted.
Rubber powered Free Flight planes are also welcome. We can ‘take turns’ with different venues if needed. The main goal is Fun and Flying – in that order.Please pass the word to those not copied in this note. Let me know of any emails addresses to add or change. THANKS

Alliger’s House of Wings on Spring Street in Sayre will be the Fueling Station and Debriefing Session before the flying missions – be there at 6pm.

Wednesday Flying Sessions have been well attended this summer.
July Fun Fly Contest went well with great support by VRCMC Members.

Field Mowing has lessened during dry July but it may need a trimming before the end of the month Rob & Vinnie.
Next Club Meeting will be Wednesday – SEPT 7 at 7pm – VRCMC Field.

Paul B, Carl S & Dan L. traveled to the site of the Sept NEAT E-Fair today. They attended the Dirty Fair. Paul flew his E Heli & Dan L. flew his Mini-Tuirnbuckle.
The weather was cloudy, wet, dry and cloudy – not in that order. Winds were calm for the most part. About 20 flyers plus many friends and family campers had been there since Friday.
CT flyers we knew were Kevin S, Vinnie K and Dave Miles. Kingston attendees were Rolly S & Paul. Over 25 flyers from NY, CT & ON were there on Saturday.
This picture represents some of what will not be going home in the same condition it arrived. Luckily none of this belongs (or belonged) to Dan or Paul B.
Next event on the schedule is the Fathers Day Fun Fly in Kingston, ON 6/18-19 !
